AI, on our terms
Your invoices contain names, amounts and business relationships. That's why FatturaSmart's AI follows three rules, enforced in code.
1. Anonymized data
Names replaced with anonymous codes, payment descriptions reduced to a fixed whitelist of safe words, line descriptions stripped of identifying data. Anonymization happens on our servers, before anything is sent.
2. AI suggests, you confirm
No automatic registrations: bank matches require your approval, and VAT classifications carry an AI badge and can always be edited. Your fiscal data stays under your control.
3. Providers as processors
AI service providers act as data processors and only receive the data strictly necessary, as described in our privacy policy.

The AI only receives the counterparty's company name (never a private individual's name), the line descriptions and the amounts; healthcare invoices are never analysed.

Does FatturaSmart use artificial intelligence?
Yes. FatturaSmart integrates AI in four features: bank reconciliation (matching transactions to invoices), automatic VAT deductibility classification on received invoices, automatic cost-center assignment, and AI Insights on cost and revenue centers. In every case the AI suggests and you confirm.
Does the AI see my clients' or patients' names?
Never a person's name. Before anything is sent to the AI service, names are replaced with anonymous codes and payment descriptions are reduced to payment references only, filtered through a fixed whitelist of safe words. Received-document line descriptions are sent in minimized form without identifying data. Cost-center assignment is the only feature that sees a counterparty company's name: a private individual's name is never sent and healthcare invoices are excluded entirely.
Does the AI register or decide anything on its own?
No. Every suggestion remains a proposal until you approve it: bank matches must be confirmed before registration, deductibility classifications carry an AI badge and can always be edited, and an automatically assigned center can be changed with one click from the invoice. No fiscal data is created or sent without your control.
Which AI providers do you use?
We use AI service providers such as Google, Anthropic and OpenRouter, acting as data processors and handling only the data strictly necessary to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy and data processing agreement.
How much do FatturaSmart's AI features cost?
AI bank reconciliation and advanced VAT with automatic deductibility are included in the Pro (€59.99/year + VAT) and Max (€149.99/year + VAT) plans. Automatic cost-center assignment is included in the Max plan. AI Insights on cost and revenue centers are included in every plan at no extra cost.
