Product lines and financial settings
Included in the base plan: business documents are included in the FatturaSmart base plan at no extra cost.
Business documents (quotes, orders, delivery notes, proformas) use the same calculation engine as invoices: you can apply withholding tax, surcharge, fund and payment terms already at the quote stage, so the amount you show the customer is exact and carries over intact when you convert to an invoice.
Adding Lines
Step 1: Open a line
Click a document line to open the detail panel.
Step 2: Select a product (optional)
Use the product picker to choose an item from your registry: description, price, VAT rate and unit of measure are filled in automatically. Alternatively, type a free-text line.
Step 3: Apply withholdings and contributions to the line
On each line you can enable the Apply withholdings / contributions option: only lines with this option on are included in the calculation base for fund, surcharge and withholding tax. This is useful when a document mixes services subject to contributions with items that aren’t (e.g. expense reimbursements).
The Document’s Financial Data
Below the lines you’ll find the cards for contributions and withholdings. They work exactly like in an invoice, so here you get a summary and a pointer to the dedicated guides.
Withholding tax
Open the Withholding card and set the reason, rate and taxable percentage. → Details in Set up Withholding Tax.
INPS surcharge (rivalsa)
Open the Surcharge card and set the rate (typically 4%) and taxable base, for those enrolled in the INPS Gestione Separata. → Details in Set the Social Security Markup.
Professional fund (cassa)
Open the Fund card and choose the type (e.g. TC01), the percentage and the taxable base for your professional pension fund contribution.
Payment terms
Open the Payment terms card to set the payment method (e.g. MP05 - bank transfer), IBAN and due dates. → Details in Set Payment Terms.
Everything carries over: when you convert the document into an invoice, lines, withholding, surcharge, fund and payment terms are brought over with no re-entry.
Next Steps
