Included in the base plan: business documents are included in the FatturaSmart base plan at no extra cost.
Beyond electronic invoices, FatturaSmart lets you manage all the business documents that support your activity: quotes, proformas, sales orders, delivery notes (DDT) and service reports. You can create them, send them to customers and turn them into invoices in a few clicks.

Difference from Invoices
Business documents (quotes, proformas, delivery notes, orders) are not sent to the Exchange System (SDI): they’re used for internal and customer-facing commercial management. When the document becomes final, you transform it into an electronic invoice, which is then transmitted to SDI. For invoicing itself, see the Invoicing Guides.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are business documents sent to the Exchange System (SDI)?
No. Quotes, proformas, orders and delivery notes are not transmitted to SDI: they're for commercial management. Only the invoice generated after conversion is sent to SDI.
Can I turn a quote into an invoice?
Yes. With Convert to Invoice the lines, amounts and document data carry over to the electronic invoice with no re-entry.
Can I merge several documents into a single invoice?
Yes. By selecting multiple documents from the same customer and using Generate invoice you create a deferred invoice that groups them.
What's the difference between a quote and a proforma?
A quote is the price proposal sent before the sale; a proforma previews the amount of the future invoice but has no fiscal value.
