Add an Accountant

FatturaSmart allows you to invite your accountant to access your profile at no extra cost. This way, they can view and manage your invoices independently.

Why add an accountant?

By adding your accountant to your profile:

  • Save time: your accountant accesses documents directly without manual exports
  • Always up to date: they see invoices in real-time, as soon as they’re issued or received
  • No extra cost: this feature is included in your subscription
  • Secure access: each user has their own credentials

Good to know: Your accountant will receive an email with a direct access link to your profile. They don’t need to create a new account if they already have a FatturaSmart account.


Access user management

  1. Log in to FatturaSmart
  2. Click on Profile in the sidebar menu
  3. Select Users

Invite your accountant

  1. Click the “Add User or Accountant” button in the top right
  2. A dialog window will open

Fill in the fields

  1. Click “Add” to send the invitation

What happens next: Your accountant receives an email with a link to access your profile. If they don’t already have a FatturaSmart account, one will be created automatically.


Available roles

FatturaSmart supports two user roles:

Change a user’s role

  1. In the user list, find the user you want to modify
  2. Click the “Edit” button (pencil icon) in the Actions column
  3. Select the new role
  4. Click “Save” to confirm

Remove a user

  1. In the user list, find the user you want to remove
  2. Click the “Delete” button (trash icon) in the Actions column
  3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog window

Warning: The removed user will no longer have access to your profile. You can always invite them again in the future.


Frequently asked questions

Can the accountant see all my data?

Yes. An accountant with the “Accountant” role has access to issued and received invoices, the cash book, and other accounting documents in your profile.

Can the accountant modify invoices?

Yes. The accountant can create, edit, and delete invoices, as well as record payments.

Can I add multiple accountants?

Yes. There’s no limit to the number of users you can invite. Each accountant will have their own login credentials.

Does the accountant have to pay for access?

No. Access for the accountant is free and included in your subscription.

What if the accountant doesn’t receive the email?

Verify that the email address is correct. The email might end up in the spam folder. If the problem persists, remove the user and send a new invitation.
